Most clients report little to no discomfort during the injection procedure, no more than a small pinch. We do offer topical numbing if you are anxious about the discomfort factor, however, waiting for the numbing cream to work usually takes twice as long as getting the injections!

People receiving Dysport often see results in as little as 24 hours. Jeuveau takes a little longer, between 24-72 hours to see first results. Full results can be observed at around fourteen days.

Most clients go directly back to their normal activities following treatment.

We advise that you refrain from any excessive physical activity after your treatment, do not lay down flat for at least 4 hours, do not rub or massage the injection areas, and that you do not apply make-up over the injection points for 12 hours.

Generally effects last around 3-4 months for most people.

The types of filler we will be using are made from Hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a naturally occurring particle that is found in your skin. Hyaluronic acid’s job is to help keep skin plump and hydrated. HA fillers have a soft and gel-like feel to them.

Depending on individual pain tolerance, and where filler is being used, discomfort levels vary. We use a medical strength topical numbing agent to make all filler injections as comfortable as possible. Most people report little more than mild discomfort.

We carry a range of different fillers for different facial areas. Most people use at least one syringe, depending on the area being treated, and the thicker/longer-lasting the product is, the more expensive it is. As with neurotoxin, an individual assessment done by one of our injectors will allow for more accurate cost of treatment.

Length of effect will always depend on what product you purchase and the area you are treating, as well as how quick your metabolism is. As a general rule, fillers last between 6-12 months. The thickest, most expensive fillers may last longer — generally 18-24 months.

Bruising and swelling can occur with any filler procedure. We provide pre and post-care instructions to you to minimize your chances of bruising as best we can. We will provide ice to you after your appointment to bring swelling down, and can advise natural supplements to aid in this process as well. Any swelling or bruising that does occur will normally resolve itself in one to two weeks. We encourage you to follow up with us if you have any concerns.

Most of the fillers we offer are Hyaluronic Acid-based fillers, which are reversible. In the unlikely event you want to dissolve some of your filler, this can be done in-office during a short visit.

Microneedling relies on the principle of neovascularization (new blood flow) that occurs as a result of minimal trauma, causing rapid new collagen formation on the skin surface. This is performed in an automated fashion with the Skin Pen, an electrically-powered medical device that delivers a vibrating stamp-like motion to the skin resulting in a series of micro-channels. These channels are then filled with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) or other regenerative agents to further enhance facial skin regeneration. Microneedling with PRF is a go-to treatment modality for smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and creates a glow-like healthy and young skin texture.

Within 24 hours, patients will begin to notice an immediate glow of the skin. Collagen production will reach its peak around 2-4 weeks post-therapy and will continue for up to six months.

SkinPen microneedling is a simple, comfortable, and effective treatment for skin rejuvenation. Most people see results in as few as three 30-minute sessions.

Before Treatment

• Your skin will be gently cleansed. Topical anesthesia may be administered to assure maximum comfort during the treatment.

During Treatment

• Skin Pen creates millions of controlled microchannels in the skin. This jump starts the production of collagen and elastin and encourages the release of growth factors that recruit and increase reparative cells. The result is a cascade of healing processes that can continue for months following your treatment.

• The SkinPen treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes. Depending on whether an anesthetic is used prior to treatment, your entire treatment session may last up to one hour- still plenty of time to schedule your treatment before work or during your lunch hour.

After Treatment

• Your skin may initially appear slightly pink to red, similar to a mild sunburn. This is normal and should subside within 24 to 72 hours.

• Some people see rejuvenated skin after just one treatment, and results may continue to improve for three to six months following your last treatment.
